What's Your Prospect Thinking - Post 340

Everybody says, “I just wish I knew what the other person was thinking.” Sometimes we’re talking about business; sometimes we’re talking about trying to communicate with our kids; sometimes we’re talking about our personal relationships.

Wouldn’t it be great if you actually knew what the other person was thinking?

Well your career in network marketing will change once you discovered the three things that are in the prospects head and how to talk to those three things.

I want to show you how to make recruiting easy and fun, because if it is fun for your team, they are going to do it more often than if it is difficult.

I hope you enjoy this post. If so be sure to subscribe so you can be notified when I post in the future.

"It is Finished" John 19:30

Just wanted to share a seasonal post that's off of my normal topic. I hope you enjoy.

Have a Happy Easter and Happy Passover!

"It is Finished" John 19:30

Many of our Non-Catholic brothers and sisters say that what Jesus was referring to was the completion of our redemption, i.e. that nothing more was needed, our salvation was complete. This however is not the case. The New Testament teaches that our redemption was not complete until Jesus had been raised for our justification" Rom 4:25. Therefore Jesus should have used those words after his resurrection to make the statement true.

So what did he mean? To answer this question we must look at the events leading up to the statement. If we go back to Mk 14:12-16 we see that Jesus and his disciples were celebrating the Jewish feast of the Passover. Passover is the celebration of God delivering the Israelites from Egypt. As you recall during the night every first born child died except for those in the Israelites families. The Israelites took the blood of a lamb, a lamb without blemish or broken bones (Ex 12:5, 46). The lamb was slain and eaten as a sacrificial meal and the blood was placed on the door post using a hyssop branch. Like the lamb of the Passover meal Jesus himself is called the perfect lamb (see John 19:33, 36 and Ex 12:46).

Later Jesus stands before Pilate. John states in his Gospel "Now it was the day of preparation of the Passover, it was about the sixth hour." The sixth hour is precisely the hour when the Jewish priest begins the slaughtering of the lambs for the Passover celebration.

John also notes that hyssop was used to bring the wine to Jesus mouth (John 19:29), the exact branch prescribed in the Passover law to sprinkle the blood of the lamb (Ex 12:22)

Let's go back and take a look at the Passover Feast in more detail. It consists of four cups of wine. The feast starts with a solemn blessing over the first cup followed by bitter herbs to remind the Jewish people of the bitterness of Egyptian bondage. The second cup is drunk after the recitation of the "Little Hallel" (Ps 113). The main meal is then served consisting of the sacrificed lamb and unleavened bread., then the third cup known as the "cup of blessing." This was then followed by singing of the hymn known as the Great Hallel (Ps 114-118). Then the fourth cup, the "cup of consumption.

New Testament scholars acknowledge that the last super was the Passover Meal. The cup that Jesus blessed is the third cup, the "Cup of Blessing." Immediately following it "they sung a hymn" (Mk 14:26). Paul identified this cup of blessing with the Eucharistic cup (see 1 Cor 10:16).

What happens next is interesting. Instead of proceeding to the last cup of the Passover Meal "they went out to the Mount of Olives" (Mk 14:26).

Jesus purposely did not finish the Passover celebration. In fact he purposely exclaimed "Truly, I say to you, I shall not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God" (Mk 14:25).

Later in Matthew we see Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane where "going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed 'my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt" (Mt 26:39). In fact he prayed three times that this cup be taken away.

Later still, when Jesus was heading up to Golgotha "they offered him wine mingled with myrrh; but he did not take it" (Mk 15:23). As Jesus had stated in Mk 14:25 he did not drink the fruit of the vine at this point.

When we review the Gospel of John we see that John perceived Jesus paschal suffering as actually the event whereupon he manifests and enters the Kingdom of Glory (see Jon 3:14, 7:37-39, 8:28, 12:23-33, 13:31)

When we consider all the events surrounding the Passover Meal; John's interpretation of Jesus entering into the Kingdom of Glory with his suffering; The New Testament statement that Jesus had to be "raised for our Justification" (which had not occurred at this point); and Jesus last actions surrounding his statement "It is Finished," we must conclude that when he received the vinegar (sour wine) just before he made the statement he was actually stating that he completed the transformation of the old Passover Covenant into the New Covenant. "He took the cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, 'Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins" (Mt 26:27-28).

Fear of Rejection - Post 338

Are you really afraid to call certain prospects?

Good!

That tells you a couple things…
  1. First, that they really are great prospects. And that’s why you’re nervous.
  2. Second – and most important thing to remember is this: The greater your fear is of something, the more important it is for you to do it. Because that fear is really your self-sabotage mechanism kicking in to thwart you. That fear is really the worthiness memes you’ve adopted, subconsciously telling you that you’re not good enough, or deserve it enough.
What you think is fear of rejection is actually fear of acceptance. Because what you think is fear of failure is much more likely to be subconscious fear of success.

Embrace your fear.

Then kill it by picking up the phone.

Fear of Failure - Post 337

Okay you’re scared.

You’re afraid you’ll fail in your network marketing business. But just how rational is that?

Would you believe me if I told you that the odds are dramatically stacked in your favor?

They actually are… Think about it this way: There are successful people in your company, right? Some of them are wildly successful. Here’s what that tells you: The products have demand. The comp plan rewards distributors. The marketing tools work. In other words, the whole process has already been tested and proven. It works.

So what is the only variable?

You!

Or more specifically, whether you will keep trying and keep learning. Because
  • Even if you don’t know everything you need to know yet…
  • Even if your skills are not where they need to be…
  • Even if you mess some things up and make some mistakes along the way…
If you simply stay in the game and continue to work on these things, you will break through, because you’re simply following a process that has already been vetted and proven!

Got it?

Good! And if you want to learn faster and develop your skills quicker, subscribe to this blog. I’ll share with you exactly what to do and when.

Now that takes us to our last fear: Fear of Rejection. And that’s where we will take up on the next post. In the meantime, share this post with your team and have a talk about it. And always remember this, what you are attempting to do has already been done!

Fear of Success - Post 336

So what scares you the most?

Fear of being rejected?

Fear of failure?

For most people in the world today, the answer is quite shocking. Because the true answer is fear of success.

Really?

Now they don’t know that though. In fact, they’d deny it vehemently. That’s because they are the victim of the subconscious programming they are infected with – that they are completely unaware is there. Randy Gage has a book, Why You’re DUMB, SICK & BROKE and How to Get SMART, HEALTHY & RICH that deals exclusively with this issue of mind viruses, and how you get infected by them.

The good news is, just as you can get programmed with a negative mind virus, you can reprogram yourself with a positive one. And your subconscious mind is what governs your whole world. If you make a commitment to consciously choosing what influences you allow yourself to be exposed to, you can eliminate fear of success from your mind. In fact, you can turn fear of success into eager anticipation of success!

The books I mention and blogs like this that you read, the audios you listen to, the videos you watch, and the people you spend time with – all have major roles in how you see yourself, the world, and your role in that world. Fear of success is insidious and destructive. You have no room for it in your life. Blow it up! It will go back to the nothingness from where it came from.

Now that takes us back to our next fear: Fear of Failure. I’ll show you how to get over that, in the next post. Until then, share this with your team. Have a discussion on the topic. And start every day being mindful, of what you’re going to allow to influence you that day.

Student Loan Debt Crisis - Post 335

I've written about this before but as my youngest son starts to finalize his plans for college I had to revisit this subject. I believe the next big crash will come from the student loan industry. You can read my original post by visiting http://AIMHighWIthKeith.com/2013/07/student-loan-crisis_7.html. Just to sumerize what I said before and what I am saying in this video:
  • Student loan debt has quadrupled in the past 10 years.
  • The cost of a college degree has gone up over 600% since 1980
  • Number of student borrows has increased 6^% since 2005
  • Student loan debt now surpasses credit card and automobile loan debt.
  • A degree does not GUARANTEE a job.
I don’t want you to live that way.

I want you to be free; to have choices; to have options; to not spend twenty to thirty years working, to pay for a piece of paper because you will actually more than likely pay for that piece of paper two or three times over by the time they get all the interest charges and fees that have been stacked up against you. I want you to have the choice to use your education to do whatever you want to do in the world and not be a slave to your student loans.

Would it be OK if I shared some more information with you? Some information that will show you how to be free; to have choices; to have options; to not spend twenty to thirty years working, to pay for a piece of paper. How to use your education to do whatever you want to do in life, without being a slave to your student loan debt.

Facing Your Fears - Post 334

Here’s something you may not know about actor Henry Fonda: He had tremendous stage fright. When he was starring in Broadway shows, he would literally vomit in a bucket backstage, clean up, then go out and deliver a virtuoso performance.

Yet Fonda was as honored as any actor: nominated for two Emmys, taking home a couple of Oscars, winning BAFTA best actor, two Golden Globes, a Grammy and a Tony award.

As acclaimed as Fonda was for acting, Barbra Streisand is for her singing. She’s been making platinum records and winning awards since the 60’s. And she suffers from an almost immobilizing fear of performing in front of live audiences. Yet when she has to perform, she does what Fonda did, what you and I have to do:

She sucks it up, faces her fear, and does her job.

Here’s the difference between the grinders and the Rock Stars in network marketing:

The grinders believe that once they find a way to overcome their fear, then they can start their work.

The Rock Stars know that there is no such thing as a fearless leader.

Network Marketing rock stars know that fear can never be eliminated, so they don’t bother to try. They choose to lead in spite of their fears. And in some cases, because of them.

I’m still nervous when I’m driving to a home meeting with a new team member, and I’ve been doing this for 25 years! I have people I’ve enrolled who have earned more than a million dollars in commissions – and they’re still petrified to get up and train on the stage. But we do it anyway.

Your fear may be telling your family about your business, it could be calling up your best prospects, or it might be speaking in public. Whatever your particular fear is isn’t important. What’s important is how you respond to that fear.

I hope it goes away and you’ll always be a grinder.

Face your fear, get into action, and you’ll find your fear will reside and you will succeed. What fear can you face down right now???

Just 10 Inches - Post 332

Just 10 Inches Determines Our Success or Failure

The internet is massive. It’s hard, even for savvy users to begin to comprehend the ‘space.’ You can meet thousands of people a year. And contact tens of thousands a month. Even daily.

I get it. It’s huge. And, when it comes to your success as a networker, it’s irrelevant. I can hear the internet experts screaming, “BLASPHEMY“ but I’ll explain what I mean in a moment.

As I eluded to a moment ago, when it comes to your success as a networker your internet presence is irrelevant. Now I now some of the internet experts are screaming right now, “That Keith Abell doesn’t know what the #!@&*# he’s talking about, old school idiot.”

Well I’m not here to debate old school networking vs new school networking. We will have that debate on another blog post in the future. What this discussion is about is the 10 inches where all transactions take place hence the title, just 10 inches determines our success or failure.

Actually it’s about two 5 inch spaces. That’s it. If we don’t understand that, then it really gets down to numbers and numbers only. Follow the logic here. If it was merely a numbers game then whoever crunched the most numbers would win. That’s simply false. The big earners all agree on this, . . . the lead peddlers don’t.

If your best friend wanted to make it big in network marketing, who would you advise your best friend to believe?
  • OPTION 1 ~ Top Earners
  • OPTION 2 ~ Lead Peddlers
Gee, that’s a tough one. I am going to go with Option 1, how about you?

Look, I am not talking trash about generating leads. But until we learn how to master two 5 inch areas, how many leads, names, friends or relatives we can manufacture, create, buy or know has nothing to do with our success.

The first 5 inches is the space between your ears. Golf great Bobby Jones said, “The game of golf is played on a course of 5 inches, between the ears.” The same is true about our network marketing business. The second 5 inches is the space between the prospects ears. If we think, [first 5 inches], that it is a numbers game then we have NO HOPE of understanding what is going through the prospects head, [the second 5 inches].

Everybody knows that all decisions are made by the subconscious. It’s not about finding the “right people,” they’re everywhere. Want Proof?
  • Everybody would love more money.
  • Everybody would love to pay lower taxes.
  • Everybody would like more time,
  • Everybody wants better health,
What do we offer? More time, less taxes, more money and better health. So why do they say “NO!” ?

Great question.

As a matter of fact, until we seriously consider that question we buy the lie that, “You just gotta find the right people so it’s a numbers game.”  The prospect only wants to know 3 things 1. Can I make money? 2. What would I have to do? 3. Can I do it? Folks who have mastered this art, of speaking to the prospect’s subconscious about these 3 things, have learned to control 10 little inches of space and make lots of money.

Top earners who understand this spend a lot of time feeling sorry for folks throwing money away trying to get more people to talk to. Why? It’s common sense.

You know how the ads for self-generating lead systems and lead companies always start off by telling people the old way of “making lists and bothering your friends and relatives….”

The answer you seek is right here, the common sense, [which Twain said wasn't so common ~ LOL] ….. IF friends and relatives didn't like what you had to say….then strangers aren't going to like it either. Once I thought this through, that the right people were everywhere, [money, taxes, time, health], my business turned 180 degrees.

I didn't know it at the time, but embracing the idea that my results were about what I was saying. That’s when I began taking control of the 5 inches between my ears. As a matter of fact, it was just 2 words that turned my career from losing money in MLM to making money.
  • Why? And
  • How?
They allowed me to control the 2nd 5 inches, the prospect’s 5 inches. We’ll be posting more answer those 2 questions and how to use the knowledge we gain by answering those questions this blog. Most people, once they learn about this get pretty excited and want more information….but…..honestly, some of them don’t…..the ones that don’t would rather keep doing what doesn't work,. . . surf the web, buy leads, etc and defend what does not work . . instead of taking care of themselves and their families. They just gotta be right…
